Ad Messaging that Works: “Don’t Mess with Texas”

Dont_Mess_with_Texas__oval_Last week, The Texas Department of Transportation relaunched their iconic “Don’t mess with Texas” anti-litter campaign (incidentally with a clever twist on the boring press event, thanks to the Dance Theatre of Arlington).

The revamped campaign makes the standard red, white and blue litter containers the stars of each advertisement, with bold statements like “I hate that empty feeling inside,” and “I’m open 24/7.”
